GDPR Information

This page summarizes GDPR-style rights and how to exercise them in Boolby. It is not a replacement for the full Privacy Policy, Terms or advice from a qualified legal professional.

Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict processing, object to certain processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent where consent is used, and complain to a data protection authority.

Use Settings → Data requests or Support → GDPR Requests to ask for an export. The self-service export may include account, linked identity, profile, matching, messages, support, report, block, referral, notification, premium/consumable and security records connected to your account. Data concerning other people may be limited or redacted to protect their rights.

Boolby asks for a choice before optional browser analytics is enabled. You can change that choice at any time from Cookie settings. Withdrawing analytics consent stops new optional browser analytics on that device and removes Boolby's local analytics identifiers there. Necessary storage used for login, security and core settings remains available because it is required to provide the Service. If you want to exercise applicable data rights for consent or analytics records that are not included in the current self-service export, contact Support or use a GDPR Request.

You can request deletion from account/data settings. The product may provide a stated recovery window before permanent deletion, during which signing back in can cancel the request. Some records may be kept for legal, accounting, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, moderation or audit reasons. Backups may retain deleted data until they rotate out.

Boolby may ask you to confirm identity or account ownership before fulfilling a request. This protects your data from being sent to the wrong person.

Where GDPR applies, requests are normally answered within one month. Complex or numerous requests may take longer where allowed by law, and Boolby should tell you if an extension is needed.

Moderation and safety tools may use automated analysis. You can request human review of warnings, bans or significant restrictions through Safety & appeals or Support.
