Why Friendship and Dating need an approved photo

You can use Boolby for Gaming Buddy matching without uploading a profile photo.

Friendship and Dating are unlocked only when your account has at least one approved profile image. The image does not have to show your face, but it must follow Boolby's image rules and pass review.

A photo that is still pending, rejected, blocked or removed does not unlock those connection types. If your last approved image is removed, Boolby returns your connection preference to Gaming Buddy until another image is approved.

This rule adds a small amount of identity and safety friction to the more personal parts of Boolby while keeping Gaming Buddy matching accessible to people who prefer not to upload a photo.
